How to be Eco-Friendly at Christmas
By Charlie Kennedy
Christmas time is not a good time for the environment - there is a lot of plastic waste, food waste and just pollution in general. Today, I'll go over a list of this you can do to make your Christma more eco-friendly.
- 1. Don't use store bought wrapping paper! In wrapping paper, there is plastic and chemicals. This is not good for the environment. Use newspaper instead!
- 2. Don't order too many things online! These usually come from a foreign country, so the carbon emmisions from the transportation are high.
- 3. Don't waste food! This is self-explanatory. Freeze it, or if you have a pet that can eat it, give it to them.
- 4. Try to buy gifts made locally. If you buy gifts, there's a big chance it's coming from far away. Try to buy ones made in your country or city!
